Was seen on time. Possible diagnosis was discussed with me but no change is seen so far. Followed instructions to a T but no obvious improvements as of yet. Still hoping that will change.

I was very disappointed with my appointment. The visit felt rushed, and I didn’t feel that my concerns were fully explored. Instead of asking questions to better understand what I was experiencing, it seemed like assumptions were made early on. As a patient, I believe a healthcare provider especially a PA should approach appointments with curiosity and take the time to gather context before drawing conclusions. Patients often come in having done some research and are looking for more in-depth guidance and professional insight. For example, I mentioned that I had a bald spot on my head. The initial assumption was that it might be due to aging. However, after I explained that I had recently removed braids and may have pulled hair out, the response changed to acknowledge that this could be the cause. Situations like this are exactly why asking questions and exploring possibilities first is important. Overall, I didn’t feel the level of attentiveness, curiosity, or engagement that I expect during a medical appointment. I hope future visits place more emphasis on listening, asking thoughtful questions, and providing thorough explanations so patients feel heard and supported.
